Thanks to the collaboration of the volunteers Amisha Shah, Andrew Morrison and the donations from Ecuadorian enterprises, we will be able to carry out the Christmas entertainment for the children from the social projects where we work.

WATER SUPPLY IN A COMMUNITY FROM THE ECUADORIAN JUNGLE

We are happy because through the help of the volunteers we have finished the work of water supply in a community from the ecuadorian jungle. This projects benefits to a population of approximately 350 persons, more than 200 of them are children, who do not have enough economical resources.
Our biggest satisfaction is to hep to those who really need it.

DELIVERY OF NOTEBOOKS DONATED BY PAPELESA

STREET DOGS RESCUE IN THE COAST OF ECUADOR

In a small fishermen village in the coast of Ecuador, while developing a community project, we found dogs that did not have any owner; due to the love and the feeding given by the volunteers, whenever the dogs saw to the volunteers they approached, that is the reason why at the beginning, volunteers raised money to buy food for the dogs, then when the resources finished, we decided to look for support in order to pay for the food, and thanks to the support from Nestlé Purina in Ecuador we receive every month food for dogs and now the dogs are in excellent condition as can be seen in the images.
We share this news for all our friends who met the dogs and we are sure it will give you a great joy to see them and their puppies.

PROJECT HOME IN QUITO

You can be a volunteer in Quito by helping in the different tasks that are performed in our home. This is a project that gives housing to women and children who have abandoned their homes for being victims of violence. Your help is very important!!



DONATION OF CLOTHES AND SCHOOL SUPPLIES

We want to thank to Jamila Alarcon for her donation of clothes for girls and school supplies which will be delivered in our social projects.

INAUGURATION OF THE MEETINGS ROOM, BATHROOMS AND RESTRUCTURE OF A DAY CARE CENTER

With the help of our volunteers we have been able to build a room for community meetings, bathrooms and to restructure the Day Care Center in a population of the Ecuadorian Highlands, this was inaugurated on June the 3^rd, 2011

INAUGURATION OF CLASSROOMS AND BATHROOMS

With the help of our volunteers we have built bathrooms and 2 classrooms in a population from the Coast of Ecuador, construction which was inaugurated on June the 2^nd 2011.

VOLUNTARY WORK IN THE HIGHLANDS

The volunteer will experience life in the community during his/her participation, helping to improve the living conditions of the population. The volunteer will work in different areas such as education, health campaigns, construction, reforestation, seeding, harvesting, raise of domestic animals, among others.

 

 

DONATION PAPELESA

Thanks to Papelesa from Guayaquil we have received the donation of notebooks and school supplies. This materials will be used in order to assemble the schools kits that will be given to the children and teenagers from the project Puerto El Morro in the academic period 2011.

WORK WITH A GROUP OF VOLUNTEERS IN THE COAST

Thanks to the collaboration of the group of volunteers from B3 we have been able to begin with the construction of classrooms and hygienic latrines at the school in the community of Puerto El Morro.

PROJECT IN THE ECUADORIAN HIGHLANDS

Thanks to the cooperation of the group of volunteers from B3, we are helping with the construction of hygienic latrines, rehabilitation of the community center and adequacy of the floor at the Day Care Center in the community of San Antonio de Alao.

Thanks to all the Directors, volunteers and coordinators for their support and trust in our organization.

SCHOLARSHIPS PLAN

We are currently carrying out the promotion of a scholarship plan, by this way, we have been able to find sponsors for two children in the project of Puerto El Morro for the school year 2011-2012, however, there are children who still need sponsorship in order to get their school supplies, uniforms and all what is necessary for them to continue studying. If you are interested in participating as a sponsor of one of these kids, you just need to collaborate with a single payment of $ 310 per year, and in this way you can help those most in need. You can also join with a friend or group of friends to sponsor a child. CHRISTMAS FOR THE CHILDREN WHO DO NOT HAVE ECONOMICAL RESOURCES IN ECUADOR

In the year 2009 New Horizons entertained 700 children from different communities in Ecuador, each child received 1 bag of candies and 1 toy, this made smile to many poor children in this special season of the year. On Christmas 2010 we plan to make a fundraising in order to entertain 1500 children.
